![]() ![]() In 1981, the Chinese version of the An-12, designated Y-8, finally entered production. The Xi'an Aircraft Company and Xi'an Aircraft Design Institute reverse-engineered the An-12 for local production, and the first flight of a Chinese-assembled An-12 was delayed until 1974 after USSR ceased production in 1973. Due to the Sino-Soviet split, the Soviet Union withdrew its technical assistance. In the 1960s, China purchased several An-12 aircraft from the Soviet Union, along with a license to assemble the aircraft locally. Soviet military and former-Soviet An-12s have a defensive tail gun turret. In terms of configuration, size, and capability, the aircraft is similar to the United States-built Lockheed C-130 Hercules. In military use, the An-12 has capacity for up to 100 fully equipped paratroopers or 20,000 kg (44,090 lb) of cargo, which is loaded through the rear loading ramp/door. Later, production moved to Voronezh and Kazan. From 1962, production was transferred to Tashkent, where 830 were built. ![]() Initially, the aircraft was produced at the State Aviation Factory in Irkutsk. The first prototype An-12 flew in December 1957 and entered Soviet military service in 1959. So it could be a Windows DLL or what ever interfering and that would show up during the logging process.Developed from the Antonov An-8, the An-12 was a military version of the An-10 passenger transport. There are HDD data loggers, registry loggers, process and thread loggers, etc. You could check to see what the internal mechanisms are doing as you install. I proved that assumption wrong right quick. I do this now and it was how I got RealityXP gauges to work in Windows 7 for FS2004 where they said they would absolutely not work in Windows 7. It can be turned off completely with a command and a PC reboot. It could even be DEP (Data Execution Protection) and its behind the scenes mechanisms. It might even be worthwhile to launch the installer with Admin permissions. I'd also make sure you're doing it in an Admin account. I'd first try to install the plane directly to C drive in its own folder. I'm thinking it is Windows 10 and its functionality with overzealous protection mechanisms which there are many. Even if it's for your own installation of your property that you paid for. There are ways around that though, but I'm not sure if it's allowed to be talked about here. Understandably however, sometimes these disks come with protection mechanisms that may hinder your ability to make a copy/paste operation or even to create an ISO. So, you should be able to just copy and paste those files into a folder on your computer and then double click the setup.exe file or what ever. The executable (.exe) and all its dependencies for installation should be right there on the disk. Now having said that, you probably don't need to repack the files on the disk and into an ISO (archive format) anyway. Long ago I grabbed the portable version of IMGBurn because I read the install version contains Ads. If you're really tech savvy then have a look at any Behaviors or Relations if posted there for that file at VirusTotal. The general consensus is four hits and you toss. Do make damn sure that once you download one or all of those you scan it at the website VirusTotal. The most notable would have to be a program called CDBurnerXP and IMGBurn. There are MANY programs that can do this. In regards to creating that aforementioned ISO, I can help with that. ![]()
